About this experience
Ninh Binh is famous not only for its breathtaking limestone karsts but also for generations-old artisan craft villages nestled along quiet riverbanks. This authentic cultural workshop offers a rare glimpse into the delicate craft of bamboo weaving, preserved across centuries. You will work directly with naturally harvested, smoked green bamboo that has been hand-split into supple, paper-thin ribbons. Our resident artisan will demonstrate how to balance warp tension, cross weaving splits, and form the iconic herringbone and starburst weaves that grace traditional Vietnamese homes. As you weave amidst the tranquil garden studio, sip warm freshly brewed green tea and hear folklore about the village's ancestral craft. You will leave with a completed set of handwoven bamboo tea coasters or a rustic tabletop tray that brings organic warmth to any living space.
