About this experience

Rattan weaving has been an integral part of Vietnamese artisanal culture for centuries, transforming humble forest canes into durable, exquisite household wares. Hosted in an open, airy craft studio, this hands-on workshop introduces you to the tactile art of rattan and wicker weaving. Under the attentive guidance of our master weaver, you will learn how to prepare natural rattan strands, master core warp-and-weft foundational stitches, and weave signature lattice patterns. You will gain a deep appreciation for the rhythm of slow, deliberate handcrafting. Throughout the 2.5-hour session, enjoy complimentary artisan herbal teas and light refreshments as your project takes shape. By the end of class, you will complete a charming, multifunctional rattan basket—perfect for storing keepsakes, bread, or botanicals.
